What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a site stores on your device. They let the site remember things between page loads — for example, that you're signed in. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) work the same way for our purposes; this policy covers both.

What B-Seen uses

Strictly necessary (always on)

• Supabase authentication session cookies. Set by our authentication provider so you stay signed in. Without these, the site cannot function.
• Cookie-consent preference (browser local storage key bseen.consent.v1). Records your choice from the cookie banner so we don't show it again on every page.
• Cloudflare Turnstile challenge state during signup, to prevent bot signups.

Analytics (only with your consent)

• Google Analytics 4with IP anonymization enabled. We use GA to understand which pages are working, where users get stuck, and how many people use specific features in aggregate. GA is not loaded unless you've accepted analytics in the cookie banner.

What we don't use

No advertising cookies. No retargeting pixels. No third-party tag manager that loads other vendors' scripts. No cross-site tracking. No fingerprinting.

How to change your choice

Clear your browser's local storage for b-seen.io to bring the banner back, then make a new choice. If you would prefer a one-click path, email privacy@b-seen.io and we will confirm your opt-out across our records.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics platform-wide using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Region-specific notes

EU / UK visitors. Analytics cookies are not set unless you opt in via the banner. We rely on consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) / PECR Regulation 6) as our lawful basis for analytics cookies.

California visitors.Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. B-Seen does not sell personal information. To the extent GA4's default behavior could be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may opt out using the banner or by emailing privacy@b-seen.io.
