MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The Southern College of Optometry (SCO) has announced a multi-year $35 million expansion plan for its campus and neighboring patient clinic, The Eye Center, in the heart of Midtown Memphis, a project that “reinforces the school’s presence, commitment to and impact on the city and mid-south community,” the announcement stated. A groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, April 16, at 4:00 p.m. at its campus at 1245 Madison Ave. In making the announcement, SCO said it has also launched the “Greater Vision Campaign,” an initiative to support the design and construction for the facelift of the SCO tower, a Memphis skyline landmark.
