Lenstec announced an expansion of the available power range for its ClearView 3 IOL. The ClearView 3 will now be offered in a dioptric range from +10.0 D to +36.0 D, an increase from its previous range of +15.0 D to +30.0 D. According to Lenstec, the expansion will allow surgeons to better address diverse refractive needs. “This expansion reflects direct feedback from surgeons and the evolving needs of their patients,” said Jimmy Chacko, Chief Operating Officer of Lenstec. “ClearView 3 has consistently delivered excellent visual outcomes, reduced visual disturbances, and strong night driving performance. By broadening the power range, we are enabling more patients to benefit from its unique optical design.” The ClearView 3 IOL features segmented optic design, which is designed to help minimize halos and glare commonly associated with traditional diffractive multifocal lenses. Additionally, Lenstec’s advanced lathe-cut manufacturing technology ensures precise tolerances, contributing to consistent visual clarity across distance, intermediate, and near vision. With the expanded power range, surgeons will be better equipped to treat patients with high hyperopia or myopia, as well as those with complex cases such as post-refractive surgery eyes or atypical biometric profiles. The updated ClearView 3 IOL will become available in the United States starting in the second quarter of 2026. Lenstec plans to officially showcase the expanded offering at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annual meeting, taking place April 10–12, 2026, in Washington, D.C., where the company will be exhibiting at booth 306.
